Ideas Festival FAQs

Attending the Festival

Location & Dates

  • The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival will take place June 6, 2026 at 3 new venues adjacent to each other in the Fremont Neighborhood in Seattle.
  • Location 1: Fremont Studios 155 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103
  • Location 2: PICKLR Fremont 124 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103
  • Location 3: Hidden Hall 400 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103 (21+ only)

Check-in

  • Registration will take place outside Fremont Studios at 155 N 35th St, Seattle, WA 98103
  • When you arrive, please follow signs to check in
  • Please have your government-issued photo ID ready in order to expedite the check-in process.
  • All guests must have a name associated with their ticket and be pre-registered before they arrive.
  • All attendees will pass through a metal detector upon arrival. 
  • We encourage you not to bring a bag.

Parking & Directions

  • The are many nearby lots and street parking available around the venues. However, we strongly recommend taking public transportation or ride shares such as Uber or Lyft whenever possible.

Food & Beverages

  • There are many wonderful restaurants and stores within a few walking minutes of the venues.
  • Please bring your own reusable water bottle to fill at the fountains in the venue.
  • There will be two food trucks from noon to 8 p.m.

Code of Conduct

By attending Cascade PBS events, you agree to abide by our code of conduct.

Prohibited items

  • Weapons of any type (edged, pointed, blunt)
  • Firearms of any type (including non-functional, replica, or “toy” guns)
  • Any projectile weapon (including, but not limited to, crossbows, airsoft guns, BB guns, paintball guns, pellet guns)
  • Explosives (including firecrackers and fireworks)
  • Personal-defense weapons (including Tasers, stun guns, mace and pepper spray)
  • Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
  • Outside alcohol
  • Banners, pamphlets, signs and/or flags or any other material deemed disruptive to the conference

What is the refund policy?

Cascade PBS Ideas Festival tickets are fully refundable up to May, 27, 2026; after which we will be unable to offer refunds.

Are my tickets tax-deductible?

Cascade PBS Ideas Festival tickets are not tax-deductible. 

What are the member benefits?

Members receive early access to purchase tickets, a 20% discount on all tickets, and all benefits associated with the corresponding ticket tier. Members will receive a discount code directly from the Cascade PBS membership department. If you are not already a member, click here to become a member and access your discount.

Are there any student discounts?

There are no student discounts.

Are there opportunities for those who cannot afford a ticket to attend?

Can I volunteer to gain access to the festival?

Yes! Please fill out our volunteer information form and someone will get back to you.

How do I become a member?

Cascade PBS members receive special benefits at the Ideas Festival. The quickest way to join is via our online form.

How do I become a sponsor?

The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival brings more than one thousand Washington residents together and reaches more than one million households with broadcast, streaming and podcast distribution of recorded sessions. Are all events ADA-accessible?

  • All Cascade PBS Ideas Festival events are ADA-accessible.
  • If you would like to discuss accessibility considerations, please contact events@cascadepbs.org, or call (206) 443-6720 by May 7, 2026. It is important to us that everyone who wants to participate is able to do so.

Who are the speakers/what is the schedule?

Can I nominate a speaker or topic?

Yes, you can submit ideas by emailing events@cascadepbs.org.

Television & Streaming

Select sessions will be televised and available for streaming on the Cascade PBS, debuting in late June. All sessions will be available to stream on the Cascade PBS app . Please check back for updated listings
