David Rind is a reporter and producer for CNN Podcasts based in New York City. He hosts CNN's "One Thing," where he highlights the best of CNN reporting each week through intimate conversations with fellow CNN correspondents and reporters. He was also nominated for two 2024 Ambies Awards - Best Podcast Host and Best News Podcast - for his work on CNN Podcasts' "Tug of War: Israel-Hamas War."

The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival offers a program that provides a spectrum of viewpoints, experiences and affiliations, and welcomes members of many communities. As a public media organization, we are responsible to act as a neutral mediator. We believe that the best way to bridge our divides is to hear from people with whom we might disagree, and to ask each other hard questions.
