Ibram X. Kendi is the Carter G. Woodson Endowed Chair in History at Howard University, and the director of HU’s Institute for Advanced Study. He is the National Book Award-winning author of Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America and the international bestseller, How to Be an Antiracist. His new book is Chain of Ideas: The Origins of Our Authoritarian Age.

The Cascade PBS Ideas Festival offers a program that provides a spectrum of viewpoints, experiences and affiliations, and welcomes members of many communities.
