Associated Press reports that a freight train bound for Chicago derailed south of Wenatchee at 5:30 a.m. Apparently no one was injured. Three large cars dumped their contents (one of which was hazardous) and the track is closed until everything has been cleared. About 20 trains use the track daily, including two Amtrak trains.
