Tanya Woo, Alexis Mercedes Rinck, Saunatina Sanchez and Tariq Yusuf are vying to finish the final 13 months of the citywide Position 8 term.
The levy would fund about 30% of SDOT’s budget and supports road paving, bridge repair, sidewalk construction, bike lanes and more.
The measure proposes a 5% “excess compensation” tax on companies for each employee with a salary over $1M to help fund permanently subsidized housing.
