The Seattle Times has found two witnesses whose stories seem to corroborate an initial police report into an incident involving a Seattle Seahawks draft pick. Two women say they were next door to the room of football player Frank Clark on the night there was a police report that his girlfriend had been a victim of domestic violence. Clark later accepted a guilty plea on a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.

The team insists it checked into the incident and would never have drafted him if it had any thought he committed domestic violence. But it admits it didn't talk to the people next door, who say they found his girl friend on the floor, barely conscious and, in the words of one, "definitely beat up."
