Steensma Creamery preserves decades of dairy tradition

A Lynden farm is committed to using the regenerative farming practices passed down through four generations to make high-quality milk products.

Steensma Creamery is a fourth-generation dairy farm committed to using the traditional and regenerative farming practices that their great-grandparents used to raise their cows. Not only do these techniques improve the soil, the atmosphere and the lives of domestic and wild plants, they also allow their cows to produce the highest-quality milk to create artisan cultured dairy products like skyr yogurt. The Steensma family are land stewards who strive to create sustainability from soil to spoon.

This episode’s Pro Tip: how to turn a near-empty jar of skyr into a tasty treat.
