Do you remember the 1976 Denver Olympics? Probably not, because they never actually happened. After originally being awarded the bid in 1970, Denver remains the only Olympic location to ever reject the bid and withdraw as host city. We explore how Denver managed to win the bid in the first place and the different groups that game together afterwards to say, ‘Hey, we actually don’t want this!’
