Inside the Newsroom: Bias, Prejudice and Discrimination in Health Care

Video producer Jen Dev and UW Lecturer Edwin Lindo join Crosscut’s Starla Sampaco to discuss the new season of Hidden Barriers, which looks at bias and discrimination in healthcare. They discuss a range of topics including hidden racism in healthcare, how we move from awareness to action and accountability and heath justice and how it affects the most marginalized. They also look to the past and how understanding our history will help us understand what’s happening today.
