Washington's gubernatorial race is one of the least competitive in the last few cycles, with Governor Jay Inslee holding a comfortable lead in the polls over his opponent, former Seattle Port commissioner Bill Bryant. Inslee is also beating Bryant in the fund raising department by a hefty margin.
So when they debate tonight, will Bryant aim to shake up the race's dynamic, and launch some surprise attacks on Inslee? Will Inslee play it safe, or use the forum to highlight bold proposals for his second term? Crosscut and our sister organization, KCTS 9, will be liveblogging the action below, starting at 8pm. Keep it locked here, and feel free to weigh in with your thoughts and comments.
The debate, being held on the campus of Seattle University, is being carried by some 50 media outlets.
The moderators come from leading commercial TV stations in Seattle.
